Little Stars, Every Week
Stelline is Italian for "little stars" and also the name of a tiny, star-shaped pasta. It's a nod to two things: the celestial history of this space, and the handmade pasta at the center of everything we do.
We didn't set out to build a special occasion restaurant. The more time we spent in NE Minneapolis, the more we kept hearing the same thing: people wanted a place they could come back to every week, not just when there was something to celebrate. So that's what we built, a neighborhood restaurant for family dinners, drinks with friends, and easy weeknights, with the same hospitality Travail has been about since day one.
The menu follows the same idea. Handmade pastas, shareable starters, comforting entrées, and seasonal specialties, all built to be passed around the table, not kept to yourself.

Founded by chef-owners and James Beard semi-finalists Mike Brown, Bob Gerken, and James Winberg, Travail Collective is a Minnesota restaurant group driven by curiosity, creativity, and a passion for exceptional food and hospitality. Through a collection of distinct, chef-driven concepts across Minneapolis, Bloomington, and Robbinsdale, the team creates everything from elevated tasting menus and neighborhood restaurants to craft pizza, cocktails, beer, and ice cream. Each with its own personality and sense of place.
While every Travail Collective concept is unique, they are all rooted in the same spirit of creativity, thoughtful hospitality, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences. Travail Kitchen & Amusements
Travail Kitchen & Amusements opened over 16 years ago in downtown Robbinsdale, founded by chef owners and James Beard semifinalists Mike Brown, Bob Gerken, and James Winberg. As our flagship restaurant, it features chef spotlight and wine dinners, themed pop ups, and a rotating Signature Tasting menu, with our culinary team crafting elaborate multi course menus that pair innovative flavors with expertly curated beverages, all inspired by classic and contemporary technique, specialty ingredients, and a touch of whimsy.

Now serving two locations in Robbinsdale and Bloomington, Pig Ate My Pizza brings bold, chef-driven pizzas, playful sides, and rotating taps of small-batch Nouvelle craft beer to both neighborhoods.
